Animals & Friends and Troggs set for Carnglaze Caverns show (news)

Two of the UK's most influential rock bands, The Animals and The Troggs, are set to visit Carnglaze Caverns in Liskeard this autumn.

The Animals & Friends features original Animals John Steel & Micky Gallagher (The Blockheads, The Clash, Paul McCartney), plus John E. Williamson (Titanic) and Peter Bart (Wayne Fontana's Mindbenders).

With over 20 global top ten hits, The Animals remain a seminal rhythm and blues band who still command great respect.

Expect a fantastic set of pure classics, including House Of The Rising Sun, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Baby Let Me Take You Home and more.

The Troggs will always been remembered for the Sixties anthem Wild Thing - but that is just one of their many hits.

They are also responsible for With A Girl Like You, I Can't Control Myself, Anyway That You Want Me, and Give It To Me - not to mention Love Is All Around, for which Troggs' main man Reg Presley received three Ivor Novello Awards.

The original band split in 1969 with individual members making solo albums. Since then the Troggs have reformed from time to time and enjoy a kind of cult status.
