Exeter Phoenix to host inaugural Acoustica Festival (news)
23rd July 2009A new annual festival of acoustic music is to be held for the first time at the Exeter Phoenix in September.
The Phoenix has teamed up with local promoters and independent record labels, including Birds, Orphans And Fools and Boothill Records, to present the Acoustica Festival, from September 18 to 20.

Acts already confirmed for this year’s Acoustica Festival include Ivor Novello nominated The Leisure Society; Canada’s latest lo-fi exports The Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir; Fife’s very own Domino Records recruit James Yorkston; glam-folkster Beth Jeans Houghton, pictured bottom; singer-songwriter Jon Allen; and groundbreaking pastoral folktronica giants Tunng, pictured top.
Tickets are £12 (£10 conc) for each day or £28 (£25 conc) for the weekend. To book, phone the Exeter Phoenix Box Office on 01392 667080.
